DJ Nicky Romero announces fully immersive global concert

International star DJ and producer Nicky Romero brings his signature electronic dance sound to a global audience on Friday, April 17, at 21.00 GMT by partnering with virtual streaming platform TheCLUB.tv.

To present the most immersive experience possible, Nicky Romero’s performance will be enhanced by theCLUB.tv‘s augmented reality effects during the show on a track-by-track basis, putting fans at the heart of the gig.

As one of the first artists to experiment with interactive technologies at concerts, Nicky sees TheCLUB.tv’s platform and their augmented reality as the simplest way to recreate an authentic event experience during the lockdown.

This extraordinary performance follows the Protocol Recordings’ boss and veteran producer’s recent stream of releases, including his debut on Universal Music Nights With You,” “Into The Light” with Timmo Hendriks ft. David Shane, “Back To You,” and remixes for the likes of Robin Schulz, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, to name a few.

TheCLUB.tv’s high-definition streaming brings fans at the centre of the DJ’s gig because they are also shown on screen in the audience or in groups in private rooms, so they can cheer on their friends through the platform itself.

Unlike ‘one-to-many’ music streams in lockdown that alienate the DJ from their audience, fans can talk to the DJs and their friends in the platform’s main room or private rooms, instead of being obliged to make their fun by messaging each other separately during a streaming event. TheCLUB.tv is putting dance music fans back at the heart of live music.

After taking the world by storm with early hits such as “Legacy” with Krewella and #1 single “I Could Be The One” with Avicii, Nicky Romero quickly proved that his talent is here to stay. Since he launched his Protocol Recordings imprint in 2012, the renowned performer, producer, and label head continued his personal successes with a string of high-profile releases, ranging from collaborations with Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Mike Williams & Amba Shepherd, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, DallasK & XYLØ, Timmy Trumpet and Steve Aoki & Kiiara to remixes for the likes of Robin Schulz, Kygo, Rita Ora, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Jess Glynne and more.

While showcasing his label’s roster via his weekly Protocol Radio show, Nicky Romero continues to innovate and evolve during these unprecedented times in the music industry. He debuted his ultra-modern “Another World” live-stream concept last summer and launched the Monocule alter-ego. Nicky Romero keeps proving his ability to turn to gold everything he touches.

The gig starts at 21.00 GMT / 22.00 CET / 16.00 ET

Tickets for the April 17 gig start from 11 EUR and 9.43 GBP from TheCLUB.tv

The prodigal Parisian producer CruSz  returns to us with his latest EP, released on the 19th of March, with the aptly titled Okay Boomerz and courtesy of Enchanté Records. In addition to this fresh collection, he has also released a cheeky video for its title track. Although the legend of the underground Paris scene has been making music since 1998, he now returns after some time with this witty take and a classic dance floor reverberator.

Stream / Download Okay Boomerz EP

Alex Gopher, whom he previously worked with to remaster his hit album Whispering XXI, joins him once again in mastering these freshly bounced sounds. A firm feature of the underground club scene, the track ‘Whispering’, would become notorious enough to get remixed by The Toxic Avenger. CruSz would then go on to officially remix a track by The Toxic Avenger and Orelsan, titled ‘N’importe Comment’. As a veteran to the underground club scene, CruSz harks back to the quality and feeling of the club kids. Referencing his sojourn in sound and many other classic styles in his latest track offering, harking to the likes of Siriusmo, Daft Punk and DJ Premier, his latest EP, Okay Boomerz is a classic foot tapping siren call to party-goers galore.

CruSz on his electro garden stack and art sampling offerings –

“I had the idea of ‘OK Boomerz’ first because it suited my mood at the time. I wanted to prop up this claim for an electro track, and it happened over a weekend without sleeping. Obviously ‘Stupidodiscodoom’ is a mixture of many modern sounds summoning the art of sampling and sound stacking. I wanted to compose this sound that can be heard in the distance, muffled and at the same time that fascinates you to the point of wanting to join the party.”

We’re ready to join the party too!

Stream / Download: Felix Cartal & Kiiara ‘Happy Hour’

Directed by Casey Lum the ‘Happy Hour’ is now accompanied by a music video that is ambitious, innovative, and a fitting video for this undeniable banger. Switching between parallel time frames and scenarios, featuring none other than Felix Cartal & Kiiara, this video does not take itself seriously, and that is something that one needs to do once in a while.

Casey Lum shares, “The energy of the song is so go-go-go that the visuals we created had to be on the same level. We decided the best move for this was to create a simple surreal narrative because we could take the viewer anywhere and it didn’t need to make sense; as long as the world looked cool, we were on the right track.”

FFO: Zedd,Alan Walker,Zyggo

Lithuanian music producer and songwriter Zyggo, real name is Deividas Zygas, releases Swedish artist, 2011 “Idol” TV contest winner Amanda Fondell song’s “Keep The Love” remix. Music producer does not hide his excitement about this project and he hopes that this remix will brighten the gloomy routine of these days. Zyggo reveals that in this music video we will see some biggest music starts such as Ella Eyre or Ella Henderson.

Amanda Fondell – Keep The Love (Zyggo remix)

“I have lived in London for some time. To be more specific, I can say that I live in Vilnius and in London at the same time, because every few years I have to be here or there. The recent time in London was full of new impressions, new people and new possibilities to realise my new projects. This remix is not an exception. I really proud of this track and I am very excited of this, because I put all my heart and myself here.”

Zyggo says that this release has demanded a lot of new skills and a lot of job that this release would see the light of a day: “To be honest, this remix has been produced in 2020’s summer. All arrangement and production stuff have been done very quickly, but all official remix releasing stuff have taken very long period of time. I had to have the official permissions and approvals from the record label, publisher and the original song writers. I had to have all official approvals that this release would be uploaded not just on YouTube, but on another music streaming platforms too. I am very happy that I have got the permissions and approvals from each part and today you can hear and see what I have produced and created for this time”.

Music producer says that this song is not just very positive, but and he hopes that the brand-new arrangement would help to reveal the original song’s thoughts: “This song is about love, about a great craving for another person and an emotional attachment. As the most this genre’s songs. When I have produced this song, I was thinking about love, sea, sun and about happy people around. That time I used to go to the sea very often. Brighton, Eastbourne – the best places for self-realising. This is why I think that you can see and hear these emotions in this remix too. The original song’s singer Amanda Fondell texted me that this remix sounds cool, so, I really hope that dance music lovers will have a chance to put this song in them playlist too and for short time to feel summer in the heart again.”

“This song has been written and produced in a lot of different locations. The original song has been recorded in Sweden, I have produced and mixed this track in London at Resident Studios and in Lithuania too. The master has been done by one of the best professionals here in London.”

Speaking more about music video music producer and songwriter Zyggo said that there are a lot of different personal moments from the different world locations in this music video: “Speaking about music video I can mention that I put a lot of different personal moments in London, Liverpool, Paris and Vilnius too. There are a few flashes with the music world starts such as Ella Eyre and Ella Henderson. I have really wanted that this music video would be personal and each listener and viewer could find his life’s moment and himself here.”

Dance-pop singer Karen Harding teams up with DJ Shift K3Y on retro-esque music video

Karen Harding & Shift K3Y

Karen Harding and Shift K3Y release their brand-new collaboration, ‘Morning’, on Ultra Music. The new track follows Karen Harding’s worldwide smash ‘Un-Do My Heart’, a collaboration with Digital Farm Animals which underlined her status as one of the UK’s most talented singer / songwriters. With Shift K3Y she has the perfect partner.

The hitmaking north Londoner has written no.1 singles for Tinie Tempah, Zara Larsson and Jess Glynne, and previously collaborated with the likes of Chaka Khan, Robin Thicke and Becky Hill. This meeting of musical minds has delivered a massive crossover dance track in ‘Morning’. Overflowing with hooks and quality production, ‘Morning’ is set to be one of 2021’s first standout dance hits.

Karen Harding is in high demand. Since she hit the UK top 10 with her debut single ‘Say Something’ (now certified platinum with over 600,000 sales), she has crashed through the 400 million streams barrier with over 2.5 million monthly listeners. Her innate ear for melody combined with meaningful lyrics and flawless vocals has seen her feature and co-write on irresistible dancefloor slayers with luminaries including Purple Disco Machine, Paul Woolford, Giorgio Moroder, Blonde and many more.

On the subject of the new collaboration Karen comments, “Excited to be releasing this one alongside the talented Shift K3Y. Always been a big fan and really proud of the energy and bounce this record has!”

While Shift K3Y reveals, “Working with Karen has been a natural creative process. She has truly one of the best voices in dance music. From the moment I got sent the “Morning” acapella I knew I could turn it into something really special.”

Shift K3Y is one of the freshest, forward-thinking producers out there. He recently celebrated a new deal with respected dance imprint, Positiva, and saw BBC Radio 1 award his first release in this deal, ‘Do Me No Good’, their ‘Tune Of The Week’. This prolific artist was behind Becky Hill’s huge recent hit, ‘Better Off Without You’ yet remains one of the few producers able to deliver credible underground vibes alongside this crossover success.

The video for ‘Morning’ is something special. With a retro, cinematic feel it follows Karen and ShiftK3Y through a surreal afterparty where, in a dreamlike Elysium, it becomes easy to imagine that there is no morning. Heavily stylised and with a host of bizarre and curious characters, time seems to loop and the party never ends in this artistic feast for the senses. ‘Morning’ shows both artists at the height of their abilities.

Shift K3Y’s contemporary production brings the energy and keeps building while Karen Harding’s powerful vocal soars above it. The lyrics burst with a sense of freedom and spontaneity which everyone can relate to after a year of lockdowns and restriction. With bouncing old school synths and irresistible vocal hooks ‘Morning’ is a sublime, infectious groove set to propel both these artists into the mainstream consciousness once again.
